We

In 2002 Vicente Celi and Kraans de Lutin opened Phlexton Studios, just a stones throw from the Spree, in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Across 250m2, they built a series of no compromise room-in-room constructions, consisting of: Three control rooms, two vocal booths and a main live room, thus ensuring that the studio would be best prepared for any tasks and recording styles.

But what the Phlexton Studios offers above all, alongside its in-house team, is a great atmosphere and feeling of space; enough room for a large band to chill out with a coffee as well as record.

Vicente Celi

The half-Venezuelan has worked in his own studios since 1990 as a producer, sound engineer and mix engineer, beginning in the legendary Kontrastonstudios, Bremen.

Although also having worked as a composer and producer, his focus currently within the Phlexton team is as the mix and mastering engineer of all Phlexton productions.

During his career, he has enjoyed success as a sound specialist for “Flo Mega”, “Culcha Candela”, “Bela B. Felsenheimer”, “Jörg Thadeusz”, “Robot Koch”, “GlasBlasSing Quinttet”, “Mark Scheibe Orchester” as well as the venezuelan folk band “Groupo Onkora”.

Furthermore, Vicente has also worked for years as a FOH engineer for a wide range of bands such as Mic Donet, Ivy Quainoo, Yemen Blues (Israel), HaBanot Nechama (Israel), Riserva Moac (Italy).

Kraans de Lutin

Kraans takes the role of producer and composer at Phlexton Studios.

De Lutin began producing at the age of 16 for a wide range of Hip Hop artists, and within his first few years could already look back upon a respectable discography, establishing himself within the german Hip Hop scene as a talented producer.

Soon, though, he would extend his musical scope and now works in the most varied musical genres as a producer, composer and remixer for Rotfront, Tim Bendzko, Africa Bambaataa and Flo Mega. One of his most successful productions in recent years was the Platinum debut album Culcha Candela and Schöne Neue Welt.

In 2006, he also worked as film scorer for the Peter Thorwarth feature film, Goldene Zeiten. Although Kraans’ musical style leans more towards urban and electronic music, his high quality band productions over the past few years have contributed to his reputation as a multi talented and imaginative producer.

Henk Heuer

Henk began producing Hip Hop and Electro at an early age and has worked alongside his production partner, Droopy Goldberg, to produce and remix artists such as Sido, Ludacris, Culcha Candela, Boundzound and Flo Mega.

At the same time, he has worked in many studios as a freelance sound engineer and audiobook production specialist. To date, he has been responsible for the recording editing and mastering of over 60 audiobooks, working alongside such unique artists and authors such as Christoph Waltz, Katharina Thalbach, Roger Willemsen, Sven Regener and Bastian Pastewka.

He was welcomed with open arms into the Phlexton studios, where he soon undertook work as engineer and remixer for artists such as Culcha Candela, Deon and Smith & Smart. His professionalism and precision, as well as a passion for good music and interesting sound worlds enriches the Phlexton family.
